2021 Annual BBQ Extravaganza

Dear Detachment Members & Friends,

You, along with our Marine Families, are cordially Invited to our Annual MCL-SCD BBQ Extravaganza set for Saturday, June 5th from Noon-3:00PM at the San Clemente Elks Lodge (Rear Parking Lot-On Los Molinos off El Camino Real).

We will be serving a Bountiful Feast which includes One Third Pound Hamburgers/Cheese Burgers, Quarter Pound Hotdogs, Bratwurst, Pulled Pork Sandwiches, a wonderful assortment of Homemade Side Dishes, and an array of delectable Desserts. We will also be providing Entertainment for Young and Old alike to include Country Western Music, Rich Hurley-Magician (RichHurleyMagic.com), Woodies on Static Display, Corn Hole Games, Kids Games, and much more.

The Cost of a Dinner-No Host Bar for us Civilians (Kids under 12 Free) and/or to Sponsor a Marine(s) is only $15/Person. Event Sponsorships as depicted below are also available and include a number of Dinner Tickets and Marine Sponsorships. Our Marine Families come without cost and their 1st Drink is “On The House.” A wonderful array of Raffle & Silent Auction Items will be available for those holding the Winning Tickets and/or who are the Highest Bidders.

To encourage and make sure a wonderful selection of Side Dishes and Desserts are available we are having a Competition for any and all (Marines & Civilians) who wish to bring their favorite Dish or Tasty Treat (Serves 8-10 people). The Winner in each Category, as selected by the Attendees, will take home a $50 Gift Certificate to Jack’s Italian Restaurant located here in Dana Point. To enter the Contest E-Mail Pete Hammer at SupportRMarines@cox.net with a description of your Side Dish or Dessert. My bride Willa will be bringing her Chili & Cornbread Scuffle. Sonia Torres will offer up her World Famous Potato Salad. We look forward to having many more entrants. Hope you are a Winner!
